Episode 27: The Pit (1981)

Muchos besos to intrepid listener Claude Myron Goozer, for recommending this week’s movie. Follow both him and us on Twitter, please. This is a Canadian movie filmed in Wisconsin, featuring an autistic-ish kid whose fantasies turn out to be real, except for the fantasies involving his babysitter. Monsters! Trolologs! Football! It’s all here in this incoherent mishmash of horror genres.

Episode 6: Hollow Point (1996)

The problem: criminal mastermind John Lithgow has assembled an all-star team of international bumbling crime lords. The solution: A smarmy DEA agent, a tough FBI agent (Tia Carrere), and a bumbling hitman (Donald Sutherland). Their task: to constantly double-cross each other. Bumbling and huge explosions ensue in this delightful romp from elderly Canadian director Sidney Furie.
